Fastest way to recolor something?
Hello, I'm currently trying to recolor May's model from Pokemon ORAS, and it's a pain in the ****ing ass and tedious af to use lasso and crop the parts I want to recolor, so are there any other ways to recolor something? Like any programs that have a function like... For example, turn everything red in a certain image into a different color? I'm currently using GIMP, and I don't think GIMP has a function like that, does it? |

I use paint.net and it has this function All you have to do is use the magic wand on the color you want to change (make sure the tolerance is at 0% or it will also select similar colors, unless you want this of course), select you desired flood mode, and then press backspace to fill the selection with the primary color, or click 'Edit' at the top and then 'Fill Selection'

you could just move the color bar to find whatever color you want. It changes every color on there, but it might work out for you. Depends if you're fine changing every color at once or not.

![]() I'm trying to make May's top (the red part in the bottom center) blue. To do that, I'd have to crop it via Lasso, and colorize it. I've already done that with her chibi model and that took forever to do lool. |

The computer doesn't know exactly where you want to colorize so you need to outline yourself. |

Phew, holy crap. That took me so long, but I managed to finish recoloring the entire model/texture. Still took forever though, because I used Lasso. I'll give Paint.net a try next time |
