Piercing
I'm planning on piercing my left ear this weekend. I've never been pierced before so I want to know if it hurts and how to avoid getting an infection. Hearing stories of people getting infections makes me hesitate but I still feel like doing it. If you got a story about a piercing you got I'd like to hear it

#1 tip to not get it infected / keep it from healing up awkward is DO NOT CLEAN IT EITH HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. It will make it close up around the piercing and it will get stuck in your ear. #2 clean it with salt water everyday. I recommend using sea salt Instead of table salt. #3 twist twist twist the piercing. I have both ears pierced and two nose piercings. All of them have gotten infected multiple times because I didn't clean them at least once a day, and never twisted them. Ear pain level is about a 4-5/10, I don't remember it to well cause it was 6 years ago, but from what I do remember I cried like a bitch. (cause I was seven obviously) Also, don't be a total ****ing idiot and get it pierced at a tattoo/piercing shoppe. Don't do it yourself. |

Step 1. Numbed it with ice. Step 2. Laid his head down on cutting board. Step 3. With one swing hammered a heated thumbtack through his earlobe. He still has that piercing and it never got infected. Don't waste $15 for some **** you can easily do on your own. It doesn't look any different and it works just as well. |

Wow. I know a guy who did at home with a needle. From what he told me it hurt like hell.

It takes longer to do it yourself, it's not sterile, and it hurts 10x worse even with ice. |

Got both of my ears pierced actually about three weeks ago at a tattoo shop. Didn't feel nothing but a little pinch like when the doctor gives you a shot. Just small pain for a sec then gone. Just make sure you keep it clean.

Lol MrSimons, just because it worked out for you and your friend doesn't mean everyones will end the same Just get it done from someone who knows how to do it properly, it's not that much money and it is much safer than attempting it on your own |

Got my left ear pierced when I was 10 and the right one pierced a few months ago It will hurt for a split second and then it sorta throbs for a minute but apart from that it's fine (from my experience) luckily the place where I got both my ears pierced supplied me with different cleaning solutions where I just applied it for six weeks/three weeks and never had to apply it again |

Haha. Septum piercings look nice and all but its not my style. A simple left piercing is all
