Dusty showed us before they are working on something for the Castle but highly doubt it's for towering

Removing Castle as a fort increases towering competitiveness as a whole.
Benefits far outweigh the negatives of not having it as a fort anymore  

and removing towers makes less work for the admins too.

Removing towers never really increased competitiveness though, it just lowered the number of guilds that towered and increased their populations, arguably making it less competitive? Because no one is going to attack a tower if they don't have a chance of capturing it

Hopefully that changes with the new system though, it would be nice to see some competition  

if the flag room is not to be returned, please make castle not count as a guild fort... for reasons related to moving around it faster in pursuit of insects.

Also, wtf is with the no horse zone left of there?

I think the throne room should be where the tower room was.

Yes, that's all a result of a poor design of the tower rewards system itself. A guild would see another very strong guild at a tower and just say, "I'd rather wait a month and get it for free than compete against them for now."
