Now I don't think Highschool DxD was meant to be taken seriously, but that's just me.  

Started watching Aldnoah Zero yesterday.
I hated the look of mecha but i am seriously enjoying it.

Wow ok.

First 10 or so episodes of Re:Zero fluctuates so much between being a ****ing joke to being pretty intense.

Then for the last few episodes **** becomes realer than real.

Like holy **** this is ****ed.

I was half expecting Subaru to become like Theon Greyjoy from GoT after he got his d*** cut off.

GATE is a load of dog**** compared to this show.

What was it that made you feel like the early part of the series made it seem like a joke?  

Just some parts in the show where Subaru acts like the biggest ****ing ****** ever.

Yeah I guess but when things start getting serious you kinda think to yourself "Hey, that kid was just acting like he snorted a bump of coke a minute ago and now he's having an existential nightmare. Wtf is his problem?".  

If you have been following the new dragon ball super episodes zamasu is probably the best villain dragon ball has had , he actually has an element of surprise , build up , mysterious story/ reason. Probably the only arc in dragon ball that actually has an element of surprise!  

Seeing the new nanatsu no taizai episode felt good , although it was filler ...
