an idiot's guide to slimy spoils
an idiot's guide to slimy spoils Okay, now before we start, I'm going to clarify that I'm NOT calling it 'the blob'. In my opinion, it's a dinky title for a big creature, so I will be giving it the title of King Slime. If you don't like me calling it such, then go post your rant somewhere else, thank you. Anyways, moving on. introduction So we all know that Swamptown is home to a couple of things: PKers, towering guilds, farmers, and the main topic of this guide, slimy spoils. Slimy spoils is an event that occurs when a certain amount of slimes are killed and a King Slime spawns, attacking players until it's anti-climatic defeat, and giving players prizes for their contribution of the assault. However, this event has caused controversy due to it's 'unique boss fight', the prizes, and of course the awfully mindless strategic play. And yet, despite all of this, players still over glorify this like it's a sacred ritual of some sort. If you are the individual who wants to participate in such activity, and wants to know how to do it decently, this is for you. things to note To start off, we're gonna need to know a couple of things-
Now that these facts are smashed into your brain like an aluminum bat, let's begin. the summoning of the king slime The best place to summon the King Slime is the eastern side of Swamptown. That way when it spawns, it will jump to the other side of Swamptown, west of Swamptown Tower. Now there's a %25 to %50 chance that a towering guild will get in the way, but otherwise the only thing you really have to worry about are the farmers and the small pile of noobs (after around 20s of it being near the tower the mob will expand so be quick enough to attack it enough to at least get spoils.) Everytime the King Slime lands, it will release smaller slimes to get in the way. Wait for it to hop at least once, then run towards it to attack it with your sword. Sometimes it will do a ground pound to bounce players back, so be careful of your surroundings or otherwise you'll get stuck in the accidental PK war (yes, this will happen, so expect to lose some AP when you're doing this.) When the King Slime finally has been slain, it will shrivel up and shoot out small blobs with gralats in them. Unless if you have not obtained a spoil, don't try to take them as they'll just get you killed. Afterwards, run out of the scene. Getting stuck in a PK war is the LAST thing anyone wants. Eventually, all will be calm and the PK war will dissolve. Congratulations, you endlessly shanked an over-glorified piece of trash with your sword until it died. Give yourself a pat on the back, and let's see what prizes you got. the not-so great prizes When you are in a safe spot, whether it's in the library, the flea market, or somewhere far away like Graal City, open your inventory and select the slimy spoils, then use the item to see what you got. (Note: if you're enough of a loser, then you might've gotten the extra golden spoils) Here's what you might obtain:
I hope that my asinine guide has been useful and will help you look intelligent when you spam your sword to kill that King Slime. Happy time-wasting! ~Ham Starr

Haha this was actually useful. I didn't know all you had to do was kill 100 slimes for the king slime to appear, I thought they showed up hourly on a preset schedule. (After I read this, I went to swat down some slimes when the big one appeared right before my eyes. I got regular and golden slime spoils after, Ayyy)
