Graal development blog?
Wouldn't it be cool to have a development blog for iClassic? It would be fun to see how the updates are coming along and behind the scenes on the game and stuff like that. I feel like seeing how the game is made would bring the fanbase closer to the devs. Or maybe it's just me being too interessted in that kind of stuff.

![]() @actual thread I highly doubt they will do this, majority of dev side stuff they start making end up at a point where they either can’t get certain stuff(i.e scripting) done then eventually the project dies -that’s not saying that’s the only reason projects die but many literally a ridiculous amount have been scrapped or left behind... for that reason they aren’t likely to say what they are working on incase it gets scrapped and the suprise of it ‘popping out of nowhere’ is sometimes better even that they say they don’t do that lmao. Example of stuff never progressed and scrapped: http://www.graalians.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12277 considering that thread is from 2012! just shows what’s made out as being progressed and what actually gets done is very slim in comparison, could dig deeper into unfinished stuff but keep with that for now. hi dusty, you need a wipe down?

This is a tough proposition for the development model in classic. From what we see as players, nothing is going on. There are a handful of dedicated staff that pick away at updates that take a lot of hours, and (from what we've seen) a bunch of part-timers who do a little work here and there. Given that all of these folks have a life and are more or less volunteers, it becomes a situation where a regular 'schedule' for updates would serve to cause more trouble than it would fix. One life event or real life requirement could put development in a secondary position of importance. Having set deadlines or specific objectives with 'due dates' could cause calamity among the population of players feeling entitled because of projected expectations. So kudos to those who work their butts off making the stuff that does get released relatively bug free and looking good (it has been looking really good lately)! I, for one, am looking forward to the seasonal details (halloween, christmas) after seeing all the effort put into these recent updates (castle, accessories, capsule machines). |
