Technically like Collin said, it's a big change of forums ownership but everything that has been done seems like an overnight operation without requiring the forums to be down. What probably happened is Unix shut it down in a panic not knowing what to do with it when Collin resigned and finally recently decided just to make Darlene the new community manager.

I swear if I could bleed from my nose from sheer amazement of the amount of just wtf going in my brain about why the site was down I would right now. So apparently it took 2 months to change the forum administrator or management shift?.... How did they manage to drag that on for ages? That's something that should be done in like a hour, not even that. I know myself that it shouldn't take long at all because I've literally had websites myself. Ones even for graal and other purposes that i even gave to another person entirely for them to own. It's literally as quick as a email change, Verification and done. Creating or removing admins for a site as well is pretty much just as easy.I know not all systems may be like that but it shouldn't take 2 months. I kinda got to agree with Mithos here there almost had to be more behind the scenes.
