New J.R.R Tolkien book 'Beren and Lúthien'
For any Tolkien fans (writer of Lord of The Rings, The Hobbit) one of the most important stories he's ever written 100 years ago was published yesterday. The Tale of Beren and Lúthien is the story of the love and adventures of the mortal man Beren and the immortal Elf-maiden Lúthien, it takes place during the First Age of Middle-earth, about 6500 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings. The story is inspired by the relationship of Tolkien and his wife, and they each have their respective character names engraved on their tombstones. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/27/BerenLuthien.jpg (Unsupported image host) You can pick it up in person from most book stores or order it online through sites like Amazon. |
