I remember people jokingly saying stuff like “#NGS2020” back in 2016, didn’t think it’d actually take that long at the time though.

+1 to “why are we giving Aguila a free hat?” btw
+1 to letting the top guild submit their own hat as well

I too remember when they removed towering hats and the NGS didn't release until a few YEARS later (not even the full thing) lol.
The seasonal hat idea isn't bad but I think that it was implemented at a bad time. Also I dislike having an admin make the hat instead of the guild designing their own custom hat but at least they give SOMETHING to the towering community after so long.

Therefore we conclude that top 3 gets a hat while runner ups gets a consolation of "Good job try again next season" carved into a plaque. And a 3k gralat for every member to compensate 3 months wasted.

If you can’t get 1st you don’t need a hat, not like you’re missing out on a whole lot anyways  

1k hat rewards were cool because they were custom made, tailored to the guild specifically. Takes guild's theme, colors, etc. into consideration

I wouldn't want to join Aguila for the seasonal hat because it isn't a special hat.
This hat shouldn't mean anything to Aguila's members since it could have been for any guild.

imo this makes it more special. It could have been for any guild, but your guild got out on top and got it. An 1k hat is eventually gotten by everyone. At this point theres so many 1k hats I wouldn’t be able to tell which belongs to which guild.

Yeah, you could look at it either way. Boils down to whether you want something representative of the guild, or a trophy representing dominance.

There are few examples where this holds truth. I can only think of the HyruleKnights 1k hat. The rest were basically the leader picking some lame wannabe swag hat.

There’s a few other examples, such as illusive’s being based off of it’s guild picture

Nice, instead of towering for a reward it's now towering for a chance of a reward.
Surely this would just kill competition since why bother towering if you know you wont have a guarantee chance of a reward, you waste most hours in the day every day for nothing. To me that would just kill towering like why bother? am I missing something? no hate just something I noticed.

This will bring out competition while we wait 40 more years for the NGS. This is a bandaid fix to a 4 year wound. The big problem is them implementing a system halfway into the competitive season.
