If you don't have a trained/analytical ear, no. If you do, yes.

Which of these would be better for bass? The Vmodas look way better than the Ats. But the AT is marketed as a bass headphone, but I've read the Vmodas have heavy bass too. ATH ws55: http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica.../dp/B004UTSDAQ Vmod crossfade lp: http://www.amazon.com/Crossfade-Over...2479511&sr=1-2 My sony mdr v6 are great for true sound but I need some bass boost. |

Definitely the WS55 in terms of pure bass, but the Crossfade has a more balanced sound IIRC. But, I also remember the WA55's only good feature being the bass; the Crossfades are bass-heavy just not as much as the WS55. I haven't heard the V6 though, so I can't say if they'll have more or less bass. I'd imagine more, seeing as V-Moda is typically a consumer brand.

The MDR v6's that I have has about as much bass as a 10dollar ear bud and I know theyre burned in. They sound great but flat bass. All my music is bass heavy so i need headphones that compliment that. I think ill buy the ws55 and return them if i dont like them since the vmodas are more expensive. |

No offence but are you guys really that poor you have to sell stuff to buy stuff? Get jobs then you can buy most things you want without selling things.

Jobs=spoiled? Why? Anyway, I need some headphones I can wear at work but still be able to hear someone trying to get my attention. We shout to each other a lot, and my eyes aren't always facing my office door to notice peeps. Need suggestions.
