We used to be able to bomb spam ~> admins didnt like that. Instead of adding a 1sec cooldown, like they did with arrows awhile back; laying a bomb now causes your player to stop moving a second. I was saying: sword and arrow makes you stop moving too, but sword and arrow will instantly hurt others, so you arent left vulnerable like with bombs currently. |

They also added a delay which makes throwing bombs slower too. I tried it for myself. You used to be able to throw bombs at the same rate you could throw bushes. But now you can't spam throw bombs either. I'm sorry but these changes are so completely unnecessary. As somebody already partially pointed out, the weakness of bombs is that you can only hold 99, they cost money, and you lose a bunch of them on death. Bombs did not need anymore nerfing. They already have such limited use (as far as pk goes). All this does it make it harder for farming. And, ugh, it's just not a good change! The whole damn point of bombs WAS that they could be spammed. That's what made them unique, that's what made them fun. Please consider undoing this change. Things in Classic have been bad enough lately. Why oh why would you put time and effort into something like this? Something that's obviously going to make people unhappy. I don't understand the logic. |

We didn't add any delays that weren't already there. I'm sure you've laid bombs in the past and had them not appear for a noticeable amount of time. We did reduce the time you're frozen for so they're more spammable. We also made it so a fake bomb is displayed on your screen instantly which is then replaced by the real one when the server finally spawns it. Previously there would be nothing displayed. |

And no, I did not say there should be no weakness for bombs. I was saying the weakness should be a 1sec cooldown instead of being frozen a second <~still limits the amount of bombs you can lay down at a time without making you vulnerable. Delayed "splash" damage does not make up for the vulnerability. That was the entire point of my post. |

weakness: a quality or feature regarded as a disadvantage or fault. The idea you propose introduces no disadvantages or faults- it just limits the effectiveness of bomb spam. So it seems I was right the first time when I asked. Anyways, the way the items are currently is pretty balanced and fair. Each has their own pro's and con's. Nothing should be changed. Addressing the farming issue: I agree this looks troublesome. My ideas for a fix is either common farming areas having the delay disabled or special bombs you can buy that can be spammed but do not harm players. or we could just reintroduce horse farming how it used to be. |
