Back in my day, you had to use a horse to get onto the wall and then glitch the rest of the way through the wall with bombs.

Only purposes they served were for questing. Other than people doing the quests, they were not visited by players in the past. There is little point in adding content that people aren't going to use.

The guildhouse jump was fun. Also (still works) ddos'ing yourself and then running somewhere causes areas of the map to not fully load and remain green. This way you could pretty much go anywhere.
(You can still get to the little island with cave under the pyrat part with this)
