As with the others, the conversations and human-ish interactions are good Particularly I enjoy having a bit of a dev/graphics community and sharing concepts and getting feedback for indie game design |

The social aspect has always been my favourite part of the game too. I've met so many awesome people, some of which I've had some really deep conversations with. Also, the times I find myself playing for hours on end (without realizing the time going by) is when a bunch of my guildmates/allies are on. And just like life, you meet some people just by total chance, and they end up becoming good friends. Like LwMark (who also posts on this forum). I just randomly bumped into him one day while looting. We recognized eachother from this forum. I invited him to my guild, and we've been good friends ever since. Another case of meeting someone by total fluke was this guy who found me by searching "chaos" in the player search ("chaos" is in my guild name). He was looking for someone for a particular statue in his house and I had a look he was interested in using. Soon after that I invite him to my guild and we've been friends ever since. It's just awesome how you meet total strangers who end up becoming such good friends. Sometimes I just comment on someone's hat/mount/whatever, and then we start talking for like 40+ minutes about the old days of Classic and stuff like that. And even when none of my friends are around, there are still times I'm able to enjoy the game on a social level. Sometimes I'll go to one of the washrooms in the Railroad Building (which are awesome, by the way. Would love to see more interactive stuff like that in-game) and just screw around with noobs and strangers. Like using my skeleton morph in one of the stalls (it totally looks like the skeleton is sitting on the toilet seat), or using a small morph (like the turkey morph) and hiding behind the stall door, totally surprising whoever opens it. Also, using the "cry" item while behind the stall door is fun to do (because it totally looks like something else). Also, I enjoy wearing my snowman head and body sometimes. One time, I was in the prison (in the police station), and by cleverly using different heads/hats, I made it look like I was melting or freezing, based on whether people used that flamethrower shield, or the water spraying shield. (I was very committed to the bit). The people around definitely enjoyed the show. Also, I've had some fun RPing in the prison. Again, when you have as many hats, morphs, and items as I do, it's fun to, well, use them to have some fun. The Yeti morph never fails to get people's attention. Anyway, just sharing some ways I have fun playing Graal from a social aspect. I like this thread. With all the negativity, it's nice to see a positive thread about the awesomeness of Graal Classic (because it is awesome, all things considered. I mean, we all play it). |

Since we are sharing stories.. I was in cruxis as a noob. I was known as hades god of the underwear. Anyways, while in Cruxis, my natural "leader" strive made me jealous of guild leader Trigger. I felt that the leader of a guild should be there to fight with his guild and share the pains and gains they receive as a family. I felt trigger just abused his admin reputation in order to get others to run his guild. So, while in Cruxis, I decided to go offtag one day and recruit for my own guild. I designed it on my ipad notes page. I named it "Voyage" with the subguilds resembling different stones. (Voyage Onyx, Voyage Emerald, Voyage Sapphire, ect) While recruiting, I recruited a guy named BO$$ BO$$ NIC. I was telling people who joined that I would make everyone a custom head when we reach 10 hours, and he was very interested in that- he must had liked my fishbowl head. He towered a little bit, I didn't pay too much attention to his the first week or so because I viewed him as just one of the normal members. He also came in with his friend Fez who I didn't know was friends with him at the same time they joined. After weeks, NIC was one of the most loyal members I had. He was friendly, lighthearted, smart, and he was a person I learned I could trust. For some reason, I promoted him really really slowly and it took him forever to reach the max rank "[Supervisor]". He managed to become a top 3 leader in guild. However, even behind many other perms backs, me and nic had a friendship. We could talk about how we felt about other members, guilds, and problems we had. We would have interesting conversations outside of graal topics. We would make inside jokes on guild chat not many other members caught. By the time Voyage was at 900 hours, I viewed him as a complete leader. I respected his dedication to the guild as much as myself and I viewed leadership as equal. We would exchange guild leadership at free will because we both knew we could trust each other, we were both passionate about the same guild on Graal and it allowed us to really work together. We put together a iphone group message with 4 leads to communicate and several times we got together and tried to revive the guild. While it came back a few time for awhile, we started to lose power in game and it got too much for us. So we retired, and I don't play classic too much anymore and NIC only logs on when he's bored and randomly. While our time has past, he is a great friend I made through Voyage. I have made many great friends who I trust as well (noting: Masrules, Fez, Eternalvoid, Banes, Wolfgirl, Buu, ESD, Toby, pharaoh, and last but not least Bin!!). It has just interested me how long you can work together with someone over a game like this and really grow bonds with them. I'll still snapchat them sometimes or text or instagram, and I feel as if I made real friends- despite my previous beliefs that that was impossible over the internet. Sorry for the messy typing, I am typing fast, but I wanted to share how awesome I think the bonds I made in Graal were TLDR: My friends I have made through my guild and how we are still friends to this day
