Ya I guess the sound has changed lol I don't play with sound on too often it seemed similar at first but now I see the difference. I like the gun volume based on distance idea as long as your own shots aren't too loud.

Nope, I logged on and it was the new one. Personally I absolutely like the new sound, makes the gun sound more loud and violent, but yeah, I agree with Higbey with the sounds being louder the closer you are to the firearm shooting the gun.

... I don't think there's any point complaining about having a new sound for a gun. Or celebrating. I honestly can't tell. It's a small thing, and I don't think it'll effect your time on the server much.

Old Gummy Gun sound vs New M4 sound. I am not complaining. I want to see people's reply to this. The gummy gun sound before was probably nasty. Players are glad it got changed.

I agree that the M4 is a bit loud, often I prefer having the sounds on, only a few bars though.
Since the M4 is my most preferred weapon, it's annoying having it so loud whist I'm PKing/basing.

I don't dislike the new sound, I would just like it to be quieter.
