Honestly though... anyone who plays melee by tier lists is a try hard fox or Falco. I mean, I main Yoshi and have won plenty of locals. The reason I can’t get into Smash 4, is because of the floatiness of characters, and the dumb as hell ledge trump (and cough cough* bayonetta and cloud pay2win)

you can def still play to win without spacies...at low levels spacies aren't even the best characters. Marth/Sheik/ICs rule the local levels most of the time unless there are really clean foxes

agreed. most locals ive been to are mostly shiek/marth and some puff even. Rarely fox/falco.

I didnt play Smash 4 (because Wii U was garbage), so idk if ill pick up Smash again when 5 releases. A little excited for the possible BotW Link moveset overhaul (which is only community speculation at this point). However, I am glad theyre getting rid of the ******ed 3rd party characters 4 had -- this is part of why I had zero interest in 4. They also really need to fix the ridiculously overpowered characters that can one-shot you when youre only at 40% dmg. If they cant rebalance their characters well, Ill probably have no interest in 5 either.

Where have they stated they are removing third party characters? Seems hard to believe at a time when they're more eager than ever for third party support. Also really fail to see how removing characters is a good thing especially when the only logical characters to add are inklings, arms characters and decidueye.

Also I think your complaint about smash 4 being unbalanced is unjustified. In comparison to other games in the series the game is way more balanced even with such a huge cast. And im not sure what you mean 40% one shot thing, the only moves I can think of with 40% single hit kills are charged attacks that aren't easy to land.

I'm not saying the game is perfect, it clearly has some characters that need to be balanced or at least need to add new character to counterplay the top tiers.  

Thought occurred to me...how mad would you guys be if this had motion controls with the joycons involved as a staple component of gameplay?

I don't think Nintendo would eliminate a part of their smash playerbase like that
