For pixel art, as long as you have the necessary tools to be able to control each pixel in your drawing, then whatever program does that for you the easiest is your best bet. zerith uses the default microsoft paint from start to finish. but im afraid its only limited to just that. complex features such as layering and having shortcuts to do a long process like coloring or recoloring, requires something more. but pixel art wise, microsoft paint is the easiest and best way imo. i mean, just look at the godly **** zerith makes. |

I use Paint.net with a few plugins that allow me to make gif animations etc.
