Thallen as best sparrer?! Aahahhahah. Perhaps that MAAAY be the case since he continues to play Graal, but there were REAL monsters in the general timeframe of 2000-2005 that young lil Thallen respected.
If I remember correctly...there was a Global Spar Tournament that invovled all the servers to compete and the person who won it was a guy named NeoJenova Demigod.
My vote goes to NJ.

It's not hip or cool to pretend like you were relevant in the PC Graal crowd and I see way too many people doing it. The thread is about active sparrers in the iClassic community, so don't try too hard to go out of your way and prove that you played PC Graal at one point in your life. Not impressive, dude. I'd be lying to say I've ever heard of you.
To cite NeoJenova being relevant in 2000 shows you're not exactly a reliable source. Sparrers of 2000 were people like Clops, Nikeboy, Drex, Zyclon, Reiko, shizty, GoldenSlayer, Entrancer, etc. That's not a list of the best, but they are names to consider. Someone like Clops or Pendragon may be the only people around and still semi-active who would be able to confirm that.
From 2002-2008, it was consistently sparrers like Brett, Quick Strike, NeoJenova, Highlander, Halo, Ares, and myself. The EGSL draft results are probably the best measure of who the best sparrers were at that time.
I basically quit PC Graal at around that time, but from the limited amount that I've been able to observe and hear about it seems like Sean, David, Zeross, and JaCk are the most relevant names from that point on.
NJ was obviously good, but if you cite winning the Graalympics as any sort of massive accomplishment then (again) you didn't know much about the 2003 sparring community.

It's a good field of sparrers, but practically every UTC of that time had participants who were just as good (if not better). The way some of you pretenders present the Graalympics to these newer kids really make it seem like it was the biggest and most coveted Graal tournament of all time. It wasn't. It was a fun event. Any fake Graalympics past the original and official one shouldn't even be taken into consideration. I was in the one in 2004 (I think), and I dropped out of the tournament before it even got to my round because the event was being hosted on Delteria and they were very blatantly allowing Tortoise to toggle godmode on and off using one of TRB's trainers. Obviously, he won.
About the poll though, JaCk should have more votes and it's embarrassing that David doesn't have a single vote yet. I respect David, JaCk, and Dante more than anyone sparring right now. Same would go to Brett if he played iClassic. They seem to actually understand that you simply cannot win every spar. They never make excuses. They never brag or complain. They don't try their hardest to prove that they're better than others because they know they are.
NeoJenova wasn't like that, Zeross isn't like that, etc. That's why it's sort of tough for me to really respect those guys after a spar is over with. NJ actually banned someone for beating him in the finals of a UTC.
In conclusion, broadening this thread to be about the best sparrers of all-time doesn't fit this forum because 99.9% of this community started after PC Graal practically died.
Sincerely,
Thallen Enguard, proud user of the no-side-hits hacks
