Who said there has to be a reward.

They've chosen their position in the game, if they want to "play" like everyone else then they shouldn't be an admin.

Tell me when's the last time where you played a game and saw a staff member playing along with everyone else?

Having their own guild isn't a reward, it's a right that comes with buying the game.
And having staff members interact with players gives a more familial feel to the game
