Not really bitching, it's more that Castle (in my experiences) is the fort where strength in numbers offers a ridiculous and unbalanced advantage, despite how skilled or whatever strategy you want to use when trying to take the fort. Guilds should not be able to hold forts just because they have a lot of people, that is a joke when it comes to keeping towers competitive. If your argument is "Just do what they're doing!" then you're probably not understanding the issue. I think the issue is that people want towers to be enjoyable, competitive, and active. The general strategy that has dominated Castle for months has been to recruit an insane number of people and have them just sit around. Other forts can obviously be defended by greater numbers, but at Castle it's not even close to be being balanced. The only way you lose that fort with a large number of people is if you're a potato. The fact that anyone can do what they're doing obviously makes it fair, but it's not even a matter of fairness. It's people complaining because they want towers to be fun, and their opinion is that the strategy to dominate Castle in the easiest way is not fun at all. Like I said in another thread, guilds need to be remodeled so that:
This will alleviate a ton of issues related to this scenario and others. Even still, someone should consider nerfing the Castle flag's HP a bit. |

Don't you think being in a guild for 24 hours to enter a fort would draw players (especially the new ones) away from towering? Maybe let them be 24 hours in the guild to hit the flag, but they still could get into the fort and help. But I dunno really, this sounds like hard to balance.

I don't know about that really, but all I know is the current meta of towers is stupid as hell. Here is what you do:
That is literally all you have to do to hold a tower. Towers are hardly a competition between one guild's skill at taking it from another, the entire tower system is all about the power you have in recruiting. To me, that's just stupid. If you want competitive, active, and fun towers then there wouldn't be 5 different tower guilds with the same dozen members bleeding into each other. Find a way to penalize that and reward loyalty in some way. I quit towering with my guild at 130ish hours because that's when it finally sank in that it wasn't about proving that my group of members was better than another, it was about knowing the right people, kissing ass, begging people to help you, and recruiting like nuts. That's fuuun. Make some basic restrictions on towers and guild sparring and the quality of guilds would improve tenfold. |

Well, I would support the restrictions to the towering system but as said, the only point I don't know about is if that would draw away new players from towering.., maybe let a guild recruit only 20 (or any number you want) people a day? It would be a mess, however the guild would need to start recruiting selectivly and not everyone they see.., but this would disadvantage beginners as well.

I didn't think you could enter a house/gh from inside any of the towers? @ Thallen: I like the idea of dropping the flag hp to 75 or 100. I don't see how limiting noob recruiting would help balance towering that much? Would you rather have it set up like the other towers except york where you are able to keep or lose the tower based on how well you can keep the flag room blocked off? Even if your guild has more defenders than attackers if you cant get to the flag you will lose the tower. How many guilds in a day do you think lose control of Mod because they got blocked legally or by cheap lag/chat blocking and cant get to flag to defend it? I don't think thats how towering should be either. I agree 100% with Albus sub guilds need nerfed. |

Not sure if this would help, but make it so allied guilds can't have any of the same guild members. Everyone can only be in one guild at a time. The exception is for people who own guilds, they may be in one other guild of their choice, but those two guilds can't be allied with each other. If someone gets kicked from a guild or leaves, they must wait 24 hours before they can be recruited to a guild again. To help against noobcruiting and kicking people for bad reason, there should be a limit for how many people a guild can recruit and kick within a 24 hour time period.

All I see right now is everyone bitching about how we have castle and how we get it back and I remember pig joining SON before 5k just for the hat *~* and we only went on Kate tag because of GST and Kate the guild was give to Kate she didn't name it *.* y'all should know the past before bitch about it.
