It's not the first time the Golden Gate is just for show on a Classic iteration. I think the last time it served its purpose was way WAY back in the original version, in like 1998-2001 or so. After Tyhm remade Classic I don't think the Golden Gate actually let the player into the Golden realm since.

Making the sword isn't the issue, the issue is that the golden sword wasn't really balanced. It did 2 full hearts of damage.

Uhhh..... Yeah golden sword with two full damage, that's what DUSTY said. Well, it's pretty O.P. Anyway. All you gotta do is hit them twice. What I wonder DUSTY is that, If you were to change the code of the sword,Would it still do two full hearts, or change to just one? It's basically like earning better stats I would say. |

Technically sword damage goes up to 20(doing 10 hearts of damage) and can go down to -20(healing 10 hearts). And sword power is separate from the look of your sword(or at least it is now, there used to be a major glitch in the client...), so even with a golden sword, it could look like any other sword and still deal the damage. Whether or not iClassic ever gets to the point where it would be balanced enough to introduce stronger swords, I can't say. I don't think it'd be fair to even introduce the lvl2 sword until players can obtain at least 6 hearts. Also right now it's pretty fair for new players to hop in and play. A newbie can log in, and still have a decent chance at fighting back against PKers. However, when more health and swords get added it becomes very easy to "pick" on newbies fresh out of the newbie area, which can negatively impact the opinion of newer players and turn them away. |

That's probably some of the reason why people are not even getting this golden sword anyway, even if someone still had it now, It wouldn't be that big of a deal unless you had major speed, because anybody could just hit you with a bow and knock you out. |
