Actually I'm pretty sure they have to do at least one more movie with Garfield after the last movie. They left off introducing the sinister 7 (6?). So if they cut the current reboot because of this deal that would piss off a lot of fans. Plus I think in an interview they confirmed he will continue.

Actually, this means Sony is ending TASM, recasting Peter Parker, and that he's gonna be in Civil War thanks to the deal. Also several other movies have been pushed back such as Inhumans, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange and Black Panther so that Marvel can give a rebooted standalone movie.

Really? I knew he was going to be in Civil War but I could have sworn they said Garfield was staying and doing the next solo movie in TASM.

I liked the Spiderman movies back when Tobey Maguire played Spiderman. The first Amazing Spiderman movie was good, but the second one was kind of bad.

I really liked the older spiderman films with Toby maguire as a kid I used to watch spiderman and spiderman 2 over and over. I even had a spiderman glove with a web cartridge ;)
