The current ios map seemed to have started as a clone of the overworld I helped to build around 2006. They cut some features and readded a number of older features. For cuts, I'm primarily frustrated that they took out the house with the fish tank wall on the riverside, and that they removed my forest cave (bonfire level). They were both high quality levels. I'm also disappointed with the sledding hill on Snow Town, because it plowed over what was intended to be a quest cavern system. Also disappointed with Swamp Town - the removal of the original guild fort there (to the east), the displacement of Miser's House (I had constructed a gold forest on the cliffside to abet his house). The east valley could have been blocked off instead of clobbered. A lot of what was changed to guild towering I would have preferred remaining quests.
However, I like the readding of the older features, but then again there's a lot of stuff I would have liked to have seen a map shift for when displacing, notably the gap between the east and west mountains. I also wouldn't mind the reintroduction of the mountain that hosted Tyhm's Quest and Sylphia/Old Snow Town, in addition to the mountains I tiled (not replacing). The work done on York Town surpasses its presence on Tyhm's Graal by a wide margin, and I had basically removed what had been there. It would be interesting to see a Tyhm-era York Town house reintroduced (there were like three, and they weren't particularly impressive, so don't get your hopes up).
The whole zorbi/waterfall mountain was essentially my experiment in seeing what I could do with the waterfall tiles because I had never seen the cliff borders to waterfalls put to good use in Graal. I even placed that chest that bugs everyone, like 10 years ago... I find it humorous that it's still empty.
Blah blah blah Old Days blah blah...
Thor has an OK from Portha from what he has told me, but there are still internal politics (primarily because of an overlap in terms of levels). Portha seriously needs to hire professionial project managers, marketers, and developers.
