I just realized how hard it would be to use the tile editor on a touchscreen.

Enable Online Level Editor for everyones own house (not a live one, just a preview one with autosave every 30 minutes eventually, else lag) and make it so that putting 1 tile down costs 10 gralats easy money so you can either buy an empty level or a predefined without level editor...or so

I made possibly the first gscript tile editor for Graal, and certainly for Classic, which I think was before the first Classic server wipe (maybe ~2005). It was more of a proof of concept than anything with an actual purpose, but could be somewhat useful for dev because you could show other devs different tiling concepts with it (It was not anywhere near as useful as Graal's offline tile editor for real work). It ended up being used for events at one point. There have been other online tile editors for Graal since IIRC. Big question is whether you want players to have houses with horrible tiling. |

That was fun to watch. Just FYI, I'm not 100% sure, but I may forever associate your voice with a blowfish with googly eyes wearing blush. Historically people had their own custom-tiled houses uploaded if they were considered of reasonable quality. During my time, I let guilds have their own restricted-area guild houses on the overworld. Unfortunately the demand looks higher now, and I should add that the number of guilds is stupid and none of them have the loyalty of years past. For an example of a past guild house, I let US have a guild house here: http://www.graalonline.com/community/g-files/Classic//1154568108-0.01018800.png (Unsupported image host) I believe Ventrue's guild house was built around Voluran's Mausoleum, and LOA's was in Master Li's Woods. I wanted each to have their own flag and a gate barrier for the basis of guild wars. I also imagined a system in which guilds could declare themselves enemies or allies of another guild and that would enable those guilds to build a collective defense, or offense, of a guild house. Before the wipe, these guilds (except maybe LOA) had their own areas that were much grander, but I don't recall them too well. After the initial wipe, Master Storm had replaced Master Li's with the Brotherhood guild house, which most everyone hated (i.e. conflict of interest in regard to a prominent area on map). Eventually it got turned back into Master Li's. Also, there have been somewhat scalable solutions to custom-tiled houses, but they all required staff uploads. I doubt that under the current model that the volunteer staff could handle identifying potentially malicious levels to be uploaded. Stuff involving what you're talking about, it's not particularly feasible when compared to the value of other things that can be worked on without the same overhead.

http://www.allclash.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Clash-of-Clans-Town-Hall-7-Pushing-AllClash-Featured-the-ring-wall-design.jpg (Unsupported image host) wouldn't be that bad, if not great for graal. An editor which comes with pre-made trees, gass patches, bushes, houses. Without the player having to place every single tile on the layout. Graal could even make that part of it's business and allow players to shop for recolors of the trees (Destiny trees/red trees), Lavafall and lava, instead of a waterfall and river. Would be great for a shop (Tile shop). Thanks man, here is an apparent close up shot http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/...path-prefix=en Yeah, I saw the guild houses in the client, it was nice, because they were integrated. I wouldn't call some of those ghs "quality" though. |

But my main wishes would be to let us add rooms to guild houses, and to let us open them to the public |

Rather than in game, why not a system similar to custom heads/bodies? Make your own level on the actual level editor then send it in, if it doesn't break any rules the layout can be added to your account? This would encourage more players to get into LAT side, and tbh it sounds way simpler than an in - game level editor. |
