Just don't open the viewer rooms and nobody can watch it. Better yet, embed the stream into the app.

By removing the majority who aren't participating, they might not be able to invest money on gralat packs (during that time) But, graal could make mone off the ads via twitch, or maybe mobcrush. Twitch is the better option atm. Getting 3-4k viewers would increase graals popularity, especially when it is similar to old school classics. Would bring in even more income than not streaming. (if the viewer count can get high enough) Embedding the link to the stream would be a good idea, for the lizardon "can't connect" screen. |

I think Twitch is an overall good idea for entertainment and something I'd like to see people do more but should not be looked as an alternative to reduce lag at all. |

A lot of people might not be watching the gst right now, because they want to tower, while a lot of decent guilds are sparring. They aren't good at sparring, so they don't participate. It's a waste of time for them, because they don't understand what is going on half of the time. The stream would insure to dictate every major detail to it's viewers, while also providing them a way to interact with the stream. I would say it could be an enjoyable experience, at least a lot better than running around the arena, with no sound, and people cluttering around, causing more lag.
The first time I streamed graal, there were a few people who didn't play, asking what the game was. People do actually browse the channels. Ads are just one way graal could make money, they can also make money from it's monthly subcribers. |

Maybe just maybe you peak at 400-500 but with downtime on graal, lag, disconnections and all the other issues that number would decline exponentially. 3-4k viewership on twitch is just absolutely not realistic at all. You are setting yourself up for unrealistic expectations on this. I'm saying this again because I've worked with twitch a lot and just because 1 person managed to do it... that in no way means Graal can just kick open the door and do what they did and replicate it. You have to build an audience (this is the #1 failure for twitch/youtubers), maybe if they are consistent with new streams they could get to 3-4k but in the current state... just no way right now. They also probably again wouldn't make much money off twitch so not worth the time. I do think it's a good idea for entertainment but the numbers you are throwing around ... just no lol. |

Because of this, Graal would not make much money off of a Twitch stream - especially one being run by a player, lol. A stream of Graal would not find itself with 3,000 to 4,000 viewers in a million years - much larger games have trouble receiving numbers smaller than those. Regarding the OP, I think a stream of the GST would be cool for those who want to watch it and the archived video would be good for those who want to keep a record of accomplishments, but it would largely be unnecessary. My two cents. |

Just because you couldn't pull off 4k viewers, wouldn't mean that graal can't... If another channel can do it, then you can't say that graal can't do the same thing. Lag wouldn't be an issue, since it would actually help the lag. The viewership would sustain, and would rise during finals/semis. A lot of unknown games didn't get to thousands of viewers on their first stream... they have to work hard at it. If graal gave a lot of dedication to an official channel, then they would be pulling around the thousands. |

I've worked for companys/video productions/bands that have 100x the following as Graal and even if they got 3-5k AVERAGE viewers that would be considered good for them. What you're going off about is the classic case of unrealistic expectations... you have to build your audience, it will never just be handed to you like this. I think GST/graal could maybe hit 500 viewers... that's a better goal than 3-4k right now lmao. |

Pretty sure sparring is a niche on Graal (which is a niche game) regardless of how high the playercount gets on GST days.

Is runescape streaming some sort of event that happens rarely? I don't think that game has any competitive aspect to it. As for an mmorpg, graal isn't about grinding levels. Graal wouldn't pull in thousands on the first stream, it takes to build up a community. Did graal have 1,000 players on it's first day of launch? No. Just because you might not want to watch the stream doesn't mean that others won't. Ruling out graal from having a chance without knowing how many users actually log on daily? There are probably twice if not more than twice the player count that is sustained daily of the amount that of users actually logging on to the game. Maybe Graal gets 8,000 different users online, maybe 16,000, even if they logged on at different times of the day just for a brief moment. If it were 16,000, then I don't see why graal can't accomplish a viewership in the thousand mark, if they work hard at achieving that goal. The point is to no belittle graal. You never know how something will play out, until it actually happens. |
