Distorted is incorrect, Game is a highly team based 5v5 format applying a higher skill gap between each competitive rank. Anyone who compares Counter Strike to CoD is stupid the games are completely different and CoD has a terrible playerbase.

While the community for Counter Strike can be toxic it is also filled with a fair amount of good spirited players if you give them a chance rather then flaming them.

Cs takes a lot more than CoD does, as making a mistake is much more punishing. And for the esports org argument...

TSM is now playing CoD, cs:go, Smash, etc. I guess they all must be like LoL where TSM started.

Welcome to super inconsistent low rank...

Had never played Xbox before and within 2 weeks I was leading the scoreboard at MW3 consistently in multiple game-types. I literally assumed it was for smaller kids after this, given the average player mic. Never bought another CoD.

There is a reason that cs:go is probably the 2nd biggest and most popular esport there is right now, and CoD streams start at the 5th page of twitch at best, with majors getting almost no attention.

The game requires no skill imo. I'd love to see any competitive CS:GO player play a game like Insurgency or Battlefield, they'd get destroyed.

That's just objectively incorrect, and if you honestly can't see that then there's no point in talking to a brick wall. OP, ignore Distorted if you actually want info about the game.  

I bought it but I suck at FPS so I quit. If anyone would like to teach me that'd be sick!

What rank are you? It's as if you haven't even played the game.

The amount of skill top tier players/teams have is insane. Maybe games like Insurgency and Battlefield are a little more tactical when compared to the lower ranks of CS where everyone just runs about spraying but that's about it. There's a reason why those don't have a huge competitive scene like CSGO. CS is so much more fast paced and constantly requires you and your team to be thinking on your feet. It also takes a lot more time to become skilled at, requiring you to learn spray-patterns, aim, game sense, strategies and those are just the basic stuff. I appreciate not everyone will like the game but to say it doesn't take any skill is just plain stupid and incorrect.

There's a lot of aiming practice maps they improve you aim and spray control.

I also just play a lot of casual to learn the maps and gun game to learn the guns.  

What type of guns do they have?
