90's rap most definitely. I grew up listening to all of them. Rap music today wont ever go as hard as 90s.

You had some of the hardest rappers out there such as 2pac, Wu-tang, Rakim, The D.O.C., and so many more.

And the beef between rappers, or west coast vs east coast, produced some of the best diss songs ever.

All time favorite diss song has to probably be "Dollaz+Sense" by DJ Quik. He was dissing MC Eiht, basically ending mc eihts career.

Nas is okay I suppose, he's always seemed like he jacked Pac's style though.

I never got that from any of nas' music. Although 2pac did have beef with Nas over the song called The Message. But after they settled it, i believe 2pac made a song Me and My Girlfriend, which was inspired from one of Nas' songs.

Nas is hands down the best lyricist, but that's just my opinion.

I'll agree Nas is one of the better rappers out there but I honestly could never get into him, there are a few good songs out there I enjoyed by him though:

personally I like the non-acoustic version better though

Nas inspired me to become better than my enemies by not using violence and instead use my brain to outsmart them. Alot of young black males are getting killed and locked up these days. To avoid that you have to play life smarter meaning doing whatever it takes to not get into trouble at all.

Favorite rap artists are: Early Kanye (I like his later stuff as well, but his older stuff is priceless), Common, Nas, Wu-Tang, MF DOOM, Earl Sweatshirt, Pro Era, Denzel Curry, Flatbush Zombies, and Underachievers.
