Microsoft has had some breakthroughs in the past, but I do not believe Windows 8 is one of them. They're doing little advancements, taking out important features within the Windows OS family, etc. I'd personally rather have the old start/windows menu than this new app store stuff. At least make it so you can use that start menu as an application itself, not a new componet. Wait a minute, why am I expecting this again? It is Microsoft, after all.

I'd get used to 8 because it's going to come out soon and you don't want to fall behind on all the updates and feel like a newb...

I'm staying with Windows 7. I saw a preview for it on YouTube and it just looked bad. |

Don't you understand it's not even out yet? It's a dev build! I don't know why graal should update RC for a dev update...

I personally don't care how sucky it is, I'm installing it on my tablet when it's released. Windows 7 tablets are good, but not great. The only difference is the onscreen keyboard and touch screen, really.

Are you serious? They took out the Start Menu? What's next to go, the desktop? It's ironic how as technological capabilities "evolve", the new operating systems are becoming simplistic and catered towards the low-tech user who buys Beats by Dr. Dre just because an ad told them to. They're doing this at the cost of their functionality in an attempt to create a more aesthetically pleasing interface for the 24/7 Facebook users to navigate to Internet Explorer 6 easier. A perfect example was Windows Vista. Windows XP was a clean, efficient, amazing OS that had no problems with it, except maybe aesthetically which wasn't even a problem. Windows Vista comes out with a newer, redesigned, sleeker version that appealed to the common user. Then what happens? The OS is garbage. Windows 7 did a nice job at creating a nice interface while retaining the functionality of XP. Windows needs to focus on gearing the operating systems towards functionality and people with more technical knowledge, not the aforementioned 24/7 Facebook/YouTube users that buy Apple computers just because it comes with Photobooth and Garageband. |

The only thing really better about Mac, if you ask me, is that it looks cooler. And you can't say no to that shiny back.
