What was wrong with the in-name input of the shields? It was so much better than what we have now

Yeah honestly why cant they keep the file name? Months is a bit of an exaggeration..around 4-6 weeks more like it. It was fun making shields you could share with your friends or guild. Nobody wants to have to type a 30 character long code..and then be expected to remember it the next time they went to use or share it with someone. |

They couldn't refund heads if you chose the name because it needs the PC number in the filename

As Kavan said, many PC servers use a system whereby you just have to say "setshield personal1.png" etc, so the filenames are really obvious. They aren't actually named personal1.png but act as a mask for your personal files. It wouldn't be too hard to implement this to the server and I support this idea.

The old side where the name of the shields could be anything. The new code names doesn't really compliment the upload system but actually makes it more forgettable if you ever consider uploading a shield or a sword. And to be honest, i don't understand how the code names also affect the upload system... |

Alternatively they could add the shields to your account (like you have with heads and such) but this wouldn't work with swords so nvm, fail idea.

I think that there should be another file in your inventory for uploads like shields and swords, and can be copied to clipboard, set or refunded from there.
