Just like people like to wear noob outfits and call themself unknown / Player even though they are not new. It's just for the fun and I get what Jester wants to say with that.

This morning I dressed up as the 5oh and I was called noob =0! Got the buton and everything! That was fun for a short while =0 owned a few people with my pistols! Put them in my personal jail =)  

Mostly patrolling the bridge to stop people from speeding...did not end so well XD

Somewhat related tid-bit here, sometimes I dress up as a guard on Balamb Island and name myself "Guard". I usually do this to help out newer players who might be confused about something or getting their asses handed to them by the Baddies. I think I used to do something similar on iEra as well.

Still, I do understand why they'd block people from naming themselves "Police". Some people really are that gullible unfortunately.  

Protip: Lowercase L makes things better.
