I suggest going back to the first Santa bombs. Those were amazing.

Because they are projectiles, and projectiles function on both clientside and serverside. Clientside handles the visible route of a projectile(what you see) and the serverside handles their movement and interactions(so secure). Can't do this with things like bombs because bombs have timers that need to be synced between all players(so you can't let players see their own thing) whereas projectiles are simply spawned and fly straight, which is extremely easy for the client to predict/sync.

Lack of features?!?! I'll try to name the ones I remember: 1. They could turn your client off. 2. They could be a jolt bomb. 3. They could be a super bomb. 4. They could have a long delay or not even explode. 5. They could explode as soon as you threw them, like right in your face. 6. Sometimes they would blow up and leave Christmas shapes like a Santa hat or stocking type thing that was pickup-able and throw-able. 7. Sometimes it would leave many explosions. 8. They weren't blocking (could be moved). 9. They could be thrown. 10. Horses could eat them. 11. They were great for farming. 12. Amazing for PKing. 13. All out fun and interesting, not to mention unique... They were so unexpected it was mind-blowing... They were amazingly fascinating.. I was showing a friend how weird they were, and honestly, it blue up 2 cms from my face as I threw it lol... My reaction was something like: "HOLY CRAP! SEE! LOL!!!!" Probably the best weapon on the server, even if they were only to fix the client crashing. THE. BEST. BOMBS. EVER. But no, they 'Fixed' them which is now said to never have happened. They weren't pick-up-able, they weren't throw-able, and they weren't eat-able, and they blocked people from going anywhere. I think the fixes were lacking in features... http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/164013_117093258359699_4670237_n.jpg (Unsupported image host) http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/47652_117104688358556_5710960_n.jpg (Unsupported image host) http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/39434_117114765024215_703776_n.jpg (Unsupported image host) http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/166374_117525058316519_5814745_n.jpg (Unsupported image host) I thought I had more... I swear there was a stocking.. Anyway, then they 'fixed' it, another word for making it worse, and didn't refund anyone. They went from the best 8k Gralats one could spend to the worst.. |

I can write a new system for you that's identical to the old one and unhackable. Just because you want something that's unhackable doesn't mean the entire bomb system has to be serverside and piss laggy. Oh, and the new one is not unhackable. Why do the iPhone servers have the worst scripters? |
