proving grounds was ugly

Yeah, it was a map made back in like 2010 or 2009 back when LoL looked like a n64 game. It was originally the tutorial map but they quickly made it into an aram map so that people could play aram, a fan designed game normally played on SR, without cheaters. It was nothing amazing in terms of quality so they just left it as a custom game map.  

eh, LoL is alright. Add LluisTheLlama if you want to play, but I think I'll stick with dota for the most part  

I never could get into DOTA. Seems like a lot of the same thing but I got too used to the LoL systems, stats, etc.

I'm pointing out that they're both MOBA's and it seems like two variations of the same game to me Like the way that Call of Duty and other games (maybe Medal of Honor or Battlefield) are variations of first person shooter games. I get the same feel, but each has a little different style. Once I got used to one, it was hard to switch to another game.  

I feeel the same way as rockson, I overall feel like Dota 2 is a higher quality game and more free, but I'm so used to LoL and I'm actually good at it that it's hard to switch since I suck at Dota and don't know what 90% of the heros do or items and all that.  

wtb Alistar from LoL and Midas from HoN to be ported to Dota 2. pls

I feeel the same way as rockson, I overall feel like Dota 2 is a higher quality game and more free, but I'm so used to LoL and I'm actually good at it that it's hard to switch since I suck at Dota and don't know what 90% of the heros do or items and all that.

I honestly feel like this is the biggest reason why so many LoL players stay on LoL. I know that if HoN didn't suck donkey **** I wouldn't have switched to Dota 2 back in 2011, but HoN was a sinking ship ever since Dota 2 was announced.  

HoN is awful.

I think it's really good, I personally like it more than Dota 2. Only reason I play Dota 2 is because HoN is dieing  

I stay on LoL because, as cool as DOTA 2 seems, I already put a lot of time into it and my friends play it too.

HoN sucked since 2011. They tried to copy LoL's model for new players and failed horribly. The balancing that S2 did was also complete trash, at one point they were consistently releasing their own heroes and making them overpowered on purpose (sell more early access). HoN was good for people who wanted "Dota 2", but since Dota 2 was announced HoN became redundant.

All heros are free for everyone now(legacy players got a 2/game silver coin boost so they don't QQ). the issue with them copying LoL's model in the first place was that players who bought it had all the heros for like $30, so you had to pay like $300+ for all of the heros or just be limited, which made free players hate it. When Dota 2 was announced to have all heros free, they had to do it or have their game die to Dota 2.

HoN is already dying to Dota 2. I feel bad for the people still supporting that game. They really shafted the community too, you should have seen the outrage and the sudden censorship once they felt threatned on their forum.

I know Dota 2 is the future, but i just overall find HoN more fun because of stuff like midwars, casual mode, and no secret shop. I also hate the rng item finding on dota- i prefer the currency of HoN for alt avatars n stuff
