The point of the GST is fun I believe, not to show loyality and/or respect or whatever you on, and most of people are thinking winning = fun.

Oh, and it's not about the "seven best players", it's about team-work, nub.

The guild system is really abused. The point of the GST was to pit guilds against each other to find the winner, and we are addressing the fact that most GST entries are groups of players quickly tossed together in an attempt to win, not actual guilds that act as a team all year-round. I think you may misunderstand. Are you saying the GST is not fun?

My "seven best players" statement hinted at the fact that dozens of GST entries are thrown together only for the GST. Statistically, they hardly know how to work with the team they are put in. A real guild stays together and doesn't jump into another "guild" for GST, and therefore has all year long to learn how to work as a team. This is the main reason for the winners of every GST winning.

point of the GST is to prove which guild is better at sparring, not to see what group of people can throw together a team at the last minute because they decided they like one of the GST hats or because they desperately need validation on Graal and want a statue that no one is going to care about

the point of the GST is whatever the individual person thinks it is. If there is a place where it specifies the point of the iClassic GST pls post the link.

I'd rather see 10 guilds enter the GST than 40 last-minute teams.

Holding an event for 70 people on a server that has over 2k players compared to 448? If guilds want to prove/show that they’re the best spar guild they can do it through the guild spar leader board. They can also hold their 10 guild spar tournament on their own. Well 8 or 16 cause 10 wouldn’t work.

Rufus' idea may be just what the server needs to completely revive the competitive guild system. That really adds to the fun of the game. Guild loyalty and competition is much more entertaining than seeing who can find the best group of 7 players every season.

Im all for guild loyalty and competition but this is not the way to do it. iClassic will have guild loyalty when people are restricted to 2 guilds so it affects all aspects of the game and not just the gst.

2. ill say a couple guilds I think are real guilds that compete in the gst and tell me if anyone here is associated with them.

Charm
Pinoy
Venture
These are some of the guilds that been together in the iClassic server before the gst showed up. These guys could actually say they gst for fun or guild pride and not for being tryhards.

If classic really wants this to be “guild oriented” they have to come up with a better solution. So im a give my solution. Instead of having a 7 member team, have the guild as a whole. When matches start people would get chosen randomly so everyone in the guild would have a chance to spar. I know its hard to do with 25 but they can set a minimum requirement of players needed (10). This would be a more realistically way of deciding the best spar guild. If you win a gst with 5 guys it doesn’t make you the best spar guild, just means you were able to recruit the best team for a guild spar.

pretty sure the administration is beyond their subhuman level of thinking so the right decision will be made in the end
that feel when you're an emotional and nervous guild-hopping pleb who will now have to commit to an actual team

The only thing I dislike about this idea is that you can't do a last minute change likefor example my schedule changed one day before the GST starts, and all other people of my guild have a GST already. Who could replace me? And ya, the last minute teams mainly, too. This could be nice if the guilds weren't limited to 25 members, however I think everyone should decide for him/her/itself.
