I would even say tower guilds were just for fun even to the end of 2011. After the beginning wave of 2012 noobs came in, the only guilds that werent/arent hat guilds are the ones that went to 10k. There isnt a single 2012/2013 guild above 1100hours that died without the same members moving to another hat guild

I just don't see much point in sitting around a room guarding a flag for hours on end and not getting anything for it. What reason would you have for that? There's all ready a lack of content in this game. I'm not saying it's as bad as it was there is a lot more stuff going on since the rail road/diving was (re)introduced. Even tho events are now basically non existent because of lag issues. Isn't the point of Classic to collect stuff anyways?

It just seems like that's how it is. I would much rather see dungeons and quests that involve fighting baddies or monsters with my friends like a WOW game then worrying about farming to save up enough gralats to buy what ever their releasing every other week. This game is supposed to be modeled after LOZ LTTP yet the only way it takes after Zelda is in the graphics and battle system.
