Update: Now you can check your level quickly from the Stats menu. A separate menu will be added later for levels, but this is how it will be for now.

In my opinion it's not expensive since you make profit with every pickaxe you buy.

Commands:
/mininglevel (Checks what mining level you currently are)
/miningexp (Checks how much experience you have and the amount you need to acquire for the next level)

Yep. All of this will be in a GUI soon, and the chat commands will be disabled, though.
