Just started watching GATE. Pretty good, only complaints are the Japanese nationalism and the harem aspect.

I was forced into watching that Nana anime. It was one of the most frustrating things ever.

Mid season time, my top three of the season: 3. KonoSuba - God's Blessing on this Beautiful World A hilarious parody on the RPG theme, destroying a ton of typical tropes for comedic purposes. The story is based on an Otaku being reborn into a fantasy world where he has to fight the demon lord. Pretty generic? Well the Otaku is joined together by a useless Goddess, a chuuni mage who can only cast one explosive spell a day and a paladin who can't hit anything, but loves getting hit herself. The characters are all fun and the main character is one of the realest person you can get. 2. Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash What all those RPG anime could have been, pure world and character development, allowing the viewed to fully envelope themselves within the world. With realistic senses throughout, making Log Horizon look like SAO in terms of world building. Outstanding water color art style and just beyond beautiful OSTs that is probably the best this season. Probably slower since it focuses on development over actions. 1. Erased Of course if you asked anyone what is the best series this season, you'll most likely get pointed towards this series. Which makes sense since this series is just outright suspense story of cat and mouse. Similar to the style of Steins;Gate dealing with changing the past, which already held a large fanbase. Every episode will have you enjoy it to the max, be it during his past or present. All of the main cast are outright lovable and the endings of each episode will be having you flipping tables and staring at calendars. Outright easily the best, but taste will still be a factor. |

I'd switch Grimgar to 3 and add Dim. W to 2. but Erased is so ****ing amazing. A series hasn't hooked me this much since Death Parade. |

That last episode was really intense, liked it. Trying to separate themselves from the crowd a little, I think. |
