I didn't really use VS much before so I'm not sure if this was recently added, but pretty much in the 2015 version when you install it you select what tools you need/want instead of downloading them all so I actually haven't done any ASP.NET projects - if you want to see I'll reinstall it and download the Web Developer tools and check it out. I would have to assume it does run better though, I mean Microsoft would of developed it that way for obvious reasons. Also, you can now develop iOS applications on VS as well. I'm not entirely sure about this either, but as far as I know Microsoft Edge only runs if you have VS installed none of my friends can run it and I couldn't either until I installed it.

Well obviously with ASP.NET you have to test it out using a browser, but some of the other VS projects are web based too. You can naturally only develop for Windows 8/8.1 or lower because it's the latest fully functional version of Windows but on Win10 in the settings you can enable developer mode and start testing on Win10 so any web based projects can be opened and ran through Edge. It's ok we still think it's beautiful |
