In PK zones people always fight over bugs, has been happening since their existence in the game.
Obviously AP has no use in safezones, AP's sole purpose is to give an advantage in PK zones as long as you don't hurt others. The advantage being the fact that you don't get hurt by swords.

I know, which to me isn't useful because ya know... If you hit them...it's gone, it makes you question why the **** even have 100 AP in the first place. Plus only people with 100 AP are cringe RP people who don't fight to begin with

I have gotten 100 ap just by hanging out and not being a bottle of cringe. Maybe some people don't want to sit there and try to kill people because pking in modern classic is ****ing stupid with all those people killing themselves and the leaderboard being a new incentive for pking leading people to be afraid to let other people gain points so they bomb themselves or run into their house and heal.
