while we do agree to an extent the quality has diminished, there are reasons for it

- New staff members come and go and one of the first jobs newer members normally do is the GST hats, so there's a conflict on styles, what a hat should be etc.
- Difficult to please. While we get how nice the hats were in the past, most of them were from PC in a time where everyone was young in the game and almost naive. It's similar to how people complain about 2009 compared to now, though you might have enjoyed it back then technically it wasn't that much better.
- We're not going back to old ideas. Sure everyone loves those wings hats but how many of those are in the game now? We would rather try and make something different (even though the response to that is negative)

Personally, i'd rather just have 1 person in charge of making the hats (gl finding someone for that) or no hats at all. As great as user submitted content sounds it's hard going through all the submissions, end up having to change the hat to meet standards, inevitable conflict/arguments about why those were chosen or why they look different, that we'd rather just do it ourselves.

By all means though, if you know someone who really wants to make the hats, tell them to apply. I don't see why people don't like the idea of working for the server, prob some pride issue, but if you really want your hats on there, you know where the app is lol

Then do a "Graphics Contest" Winner shall be a graphic artist, then finish.  

So "GRAAL GIRLS ROYALTY AND FAMILY" have an equal chance of winning
against:

• Alumni
• WAR
• BTK (lol they won't win just to make a point)
• Disciples
• Any other guild that is decent

You're kind of late here as this has been discussed already. But if the people in that guild become spar monkeys and get good then I don't see why not.

This was a joke. The point of this thread was for people who repeatedly win the GST to decide how the hats look for the next GST. So by the same logic I should be able to do the same thing for Easter since I have repeatedly won.

You peeps are asking for discrimination on the basis of GST wins...sheesh.
you wouldn't ask for this bs if you were in their place.  

Do they still get a throphy/belt? maybe just give them more different styles of them rather than hats  

They should also implement a system where you get to choose the color of the hat because ya know some people have different colors for special outfits they have.

I just think they should just do submissions by players and all these submissions are posted on a website and we can get a poll down or something.

This is like saying I have won the egg hunt twice, so I should get to decide how the trophy looks next year because I have a higher chance of winning than everyone else.

When somebody shuts somebody in an argument the best thing is to start arguing about something else. They were arguing about how stupid it was to think their opinion was more important than everyone else. Craftz made his point, so they started arguing about odds and chance.  

i have never won a gst, and i probably wont ever be participating in one. but i like qt hats, none of that gay demon helm ****. a litto frog would be a chill hat.  

You don't really need to have earned a gst hat to realize most of the recent gst hats are oversized trash. Most people who have any of the recent gst hats will tell you the same thing anyway.  

I'm just gunna make a bunch of hats and send them in. Maybe that will work.

I'm floored at how badly you guys are missing the point. Nobody on this side of the argument is trying to change the topic, you're just incapable of understanding how it's 100% related.

Here we go:

They're competing for a prize that they don't even really want. For that reason alone, they should have more creative input as to what the hats should look like (I'm gonna say it again) since they are the guilds consistently winning the GST.

Why would you even be complaining over it? The lackluster hats being rewarded lately can't really get much worse and I'm sure 99% of the server will agree with me when I say we can probably make better hats ourselves.

Better hats, happier Graalians. Simple!

You're acting as if those guilds are owed a prize. Will they probably win? Most likely, but giving them additional input in the reward over other players is absurd. Enter any tournament and you'll need to abide by their rules for their prize. Catering to the wishes of the better competitors is plain entitlement.

A few guilds winning crowns or helmets should not prevent others from winning those very same types of hats.

Should the GST hats be more original? No one will disagree with that.
Should players voice their lack of interest in the recent GST hats? Hell yes!
Should staff members change the hat direction because a very small minority of players say "Well you know I'm going to win so you might as well make me something I actually want"? That disgusts me.

But you are missing the entire point that they are not the only ones competing. Changing the hats in the favor of a select few may discourage anyone else from trying to win. If there is a change, everyone's opinion needs to be taken into consideration, because everyone can compete.
