A lot of the weapon-based items would be too powerful for the 3hp maximum and would need to be nerfed to the point of where they are no different to swords/bombs/arrows. The only thing that would be changed is the aesthetic, which is no different to skinning things and releasing a bomb everytime there's a new holiday. I'm not convinced that there are enough weapons to support a solid future without heart upgrades having some presence.

Alright, I suppose you make a point there. If this does go through, and hearts do get added, I at least hope they are added in groups at a time, rather than one heart quest this month and an item quest next month.

Unholy Nation has no balance at all. I think they've tried to fix this multiple times, but there are just too many stupid things to the point where they've even considered just giving people the hearts from the very start. That is different to how Graal The Adventure was, where new players were offered 'newbie protection' until they felt ready enough to take on the big bad world.

Having the option to be excluded from pking sounds rather frustrating to pkers. How would we identify who is protected, besides checking with out sword? pking would overall be a mess with some players protected and some not. Might as well have one all pk map and one non pk, with the forts and stuff on the pk one.

Also pretty much every casual player would just leave protection on 24/7 since they don't like pking. If it was only for people with low hearts people wouldn't quest. If it was only for those with less than x hours people who come back to Graal would be confused, and new players would feel rushed to quest.

Like he said, AP could be introduced, or there could be some other way to work around it. Have a little bit of faith in the staff that if they make a huge change like this, they are going to think about these details a bit before implementing them.

Well, in old Classic the new players used to have halo hats above their heads, but this is before Classic had hats. Obviously that wouldn't work right now, but there are other ways of identifying players, whether it be through nickname color, a pointer, how visible they are, etc. You had one shot at this protection, it wasn't something like on Graal Kingdoms where you can turn it on and off. If people don't want to quest they don't need to quest, that's entirely up to them lol. Who is missing out?

lot of people pk with names off to reduce lag. Even if there is a good effective way to show it that doesn't affect pking, Pretty sure most of the rate gp people will leave it on forever. And if it was auto removed at max hearts people would avoid doing the awesome quests just to stay protected.

The removal of a 'newbie protection' does not have to be limited to a single factor.  

I think the poll just reflects players will vote in favor of ANYTHING that will change or bring something new to the server. They don't even have to think about it.

Player killers will certainly not like this, and somewhat more importantly, people defending towers with more health it'll make it even harder to capture.

I agree with this. And for the "then let classic not progress and have people keep complaining crap" NEWSFLASH: ALL GOOD IDEAS ON THIS FORUM AREN'T EVEN CONSIDERED. Personally this will turn classic into iEra with weapon advantages and healing advantages. Exactly why I hate iEra.

How about after you do quests for all the goodies like hammer, boomerang and more hearts instead; do quests for items like keys or ganis? Example: Someone lost the key to their mansion or w/e. You go where they say they lost it and find it. Bring it back, you now have access to that building which could be a cool place for people to hang out and farm (like a grotto or resort). Or another example: say some wizard has had difficulty using his magic and needs assistance from *insert random name here* but their path is guarded by baddies and monsters. Being the badass you are, completely GG no Re everyone and head there. Speak to the person, he/she then teaches you some ability (something like snowstorm or w/e just for the sake of a cool effect). Head back to the wizard, then tell him what you learned. And now you're able to use that power as well.

Keys and whatnot can lead to new areas, ganis are just for fun and amusement.
