for your Intuos, what tablet area do you find most true-to-life / simulates paper proportions the best? whenever I'm scribbling around in GIMP, I can't find that perfect tablet area that makes it feel like I'm drawing on paper ):  

nose looks flat for some reason but the neck looks great this time : - ) a++

I'd add some darker shadows to show where the hair is blocking light. For example around the neck,forehead and shirt.

Also you've done a lot of really cool stuff recently.

-The face looks kinda squished by the hair

-the top of the hair looks flat (above the forehead)

-maybe try to make it look as if it's curved over something, and the light woukd hit it somewhere in the middle of two darker areas (giving it depth)

-nose looks kinda fat ;-;

overall it looks pretty dang good, but can be improved upon a few of the things the others and I had listed so far.

I also noticed a blue-ish hue in some of the shading, nor sure how I feel about it or if you've used it before  

Thanks guys for noticing the flat-ness 0: I wasn't thinking about that, since I was mainly focused on style. My hair has like no highlights LOL..... Will have to remember dimension

@ Talon - I dont think its necessarily finding the best area to draw on, although I mainly use middle/top middle. One of the hardest parts about using a tablet vs. using paper is that you don't know where **** is on your tablet at first. Like "I want to detail her eye but its taking me 10-15 entire seconds to position myself there." That takes awhile to adjust to; you really have to get used to the proportions in which your tablet interprets your screen. So, sketch a LOT, on a big canvas so you dont feel as restricted by the borders. Practice is the only way. After you get that, 1) it feels natural 2) your style will adjust way better and may even evolve in the process.

I will note one thing that is different now from when I started... I hardly used zoom because, I mean, it's not like you could do that on paper. But now, I zoom in and zoom out a lot; its both a curse and a gift of digital painting. If you're not already, try getting used to your zoom; it is essential to find comfortable sketching distances.
