Well today I caught a IV 100% Tauros sadly not great move set... caught a really good Flareon and hatched a lot of good ones. ![]() There is a lot of legit 30+ players. They just live in really popular cities |

Noting that all of us got together and grinded out that EXP (Phugee even used two phones to help his GF out) we had thousands of pokestops visited all from the same town and about the same 8-15 pokestops (unless going to other towns), we also used raspberry's for almost every catch and often got good throws so we would basically catch every Pokemon as well. The travel route we did for hitting pokestops we had constant lures on all the stops to make it faster, we also all have a lot of gym battle wins because we got a fair bit of EXP that way (and we are all a different team, so while we never spent hours boosting wins for EXP we did exchange the gyms we took between the 3 of us at least once before moving on), and also from using a bunch of lucky eggs and basically running all the incubators at once. I haven't really cared to fix my phone yet but doing it this week, I'll be surprised to see what level they are now. 39 to 40 is 5,000,000 EXP. |

Evolved all my Pokémon at once. Took longer than 30mins. Still have to get more candy for about 5 other Pokémon. Going to need to save up on stardust. Happy with the outcome. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Reading up on it, buddy system sounds pretty useless: The buddy system uses the same distance system as egg hatching in order for you to walk to acquire candy for one specific Pokémon that you assign as your “buddy.” You take them on a “walk” of a designated distance, and more powerful Pokémon require longer walks in order to produce candy rewards. A Pidgey, for example, is 1 km, while a Ponyta is 3 km and a Snorlax is 5 km. Completing any of the three distances will get you 1 candy. Reports are still coming in, but it seems as if the 2/5/10 km tier of egg hatching corresponds to the amount of distance required to get candy, outside of the three starters, Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle, which all require 3 km walks. To evolve a Charmander into a Charizard, assuming you have no candy, it would require 125 candies, meaning 375 km (233 miles) walked with just that one Pokémon. To evolve a Dratini into a Dragonite, that’s another 125 candies, but at the 5 km rate, that’s 625 km (388 miles) |
