There is no unbiased news source, so the trick to not spiraling into complete mainstream media ******ation is looking at every news source you can and taking everything with a grain of salt while doing your own research. It's not hard either. Can anyone actually look at a place like /r/politics/ with a straight face, even after just skimming through? The state of American news media and social media is extremely awful and it's hugely skewed in favor of the left. For every Trump fanatic like Sean Hannity, there are 50 others who will say anything just to discredit him. |

/r/politics is a joke and is obviously biased - /r/the_donald is far, far worse though. |

Places like /r/politics should not follow the same guidelines yet still put everything in favor of one side. |

There's no problem with biased media unless they're withholding information because of their bias. If they present you the facts, you can separate that from the opinions and make your own judgement. I watch CNN and a little bit of Fox News. CNN is pretty good but usually doesn't provide a bunch of lesser-known stories, which is why I also go to Fox. I can't watch Fox News much, though, because too many of them are condescending towards the other party. CNN rarely reports that bull ****, trying to label the opposite party under an image that extremists from that party create. Fox News reports on that a lot but that's because they chose a ton of hosts/writers that bluntly express their extreme bias. You pretty much just have to recognize facts from stories and ask yourself questions that aren't answered from one story, then try to find the answers to those questions to get the closest you can to the full truth. |

Never come to my country.
Every time some big news is dropped, there are always going to be complete morons who can't think for themselves and go out of there way to try and prove whatever they are being told is right. |

@Trump supporters Can someone explain to me how adjusting the EPA's policies makes sense? I'm pretty sure most people(including the GOP; look back at older videos and they agree that it is real) believe Climate Change to be real, so why would he be doing something like this? Does he truly believes this is fake or made-up? I haven't done enough research, and I would rather hear his supporter's perspective. That 40% approval rating looking mighty low... A lot of that is the media's doing though. While his start has been a bit rocky I doubt that number would change even if he HAD started well. |

/r/The_Donald exists solely because of /r/politics. By name itself, you know /r/The_Donald is a Trump fan/supporter subreddit. It's not even entirely serious some of the time. /r/politics tries to pass itself off as a general politics subreddit, when in reality it's just a constant attempt to shove leftist garbage down everyone's throat. Not to mention, they inhereted hundreds of thousands of subscribers from Reddit before losing default status. That's just one example of leftist bias dominating social media and preventing an honest discussion. |

Regulations will get in the way of profits for companies hence the "China made up global warming" nonsense. Funny thing is that China kinda does "make" global warming by polluting the **** out of the air. |

Here's the /r/obama subreddit compared to /r/the_donald. Explain to me how they are the same. Spoiler
/r/politics isn't purposely biased though, it's just that the majority of Reddit's user base are left-wing - so as you would expect, the posts that support the majorities view point are the ones that end up at the top. Trump supporters just moved to their own subreddit and don't go near /r/politics.

The thing about Trump is he touches on points that many of his supporters and even his opposers agree with. The difference is Trump supporters filter the other bull**** that comes from his mouth, while his opposers don't. Not saying one is right and one is wrong. People who support the immigration ban usually do it out of fear and the belief that our vetting system needs improved. Not because they hate middle-easterners. The problem is Trump, being the idiot he is, gave the Democrats tons of ammunition like when he called for a Muslim ban. So now anything he does in regards to immigration is now viewed as anti-Muslim. Even though I believe that the ban he put in place actually was anti-Muslim. It's just that the Democrats will always accuse him of that, no matter what he does. That's honestly Trump's fault, though.
