3.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 6MB shared L2 cache
iMac Late 2009 27"
8Gigs of ram.
No other processes will be running on it during the event.
Fast Internet.
26 people MAX, expecting some people not to be there.

DEDICATING THE COMPUTER TO THE SERVER. USING ANOTHER COMPUTER TO PLAY.

I looked it up and this should hold everyone comfortably, also, there is no end. Should I delete the nether too?

US average DL speed is 3 mb/s  

Based on personal experience (and my computer is better than yours) you should limit the players to around 20.

And disable nether for sure! Lol.

No one is gonna be able to get enough obsideon to make a nether portal in the time we're playing.

Who knows how long the games will go on? Plus it's entirely possible.

Disable the nether unless you want to ruin the games.

Just disable it, it could ruin the whole thing if someone hides in the Nether
