I think I've outdone myself. Also, two uploads in one day. New record! When I asked the question of which song I should remake, you may or may not have noticed that Dreaming wasn't there as a choice. That's because I already had plans to remake it. So here it is, a piano arrangement of Dreaming. Enjoy. http://soundcloud.com/studiopsycher/birth-of-a-dreamer |

Your best songs are white reprise and birth of a dreamer, I want to hear a more polished version of the first. Good ****, makes me want to pretend I can play piano again.

You should really check out the style of a beats/underground artist by the name of Nujabes. Nujabes is an artist that died sometime recently but he's the music artist behind almost all of the songs you find in Samurai Champloo.

@Pazx: I've been wanting to make a better version of White Reprise, since I realized I kind of messed up at the end, and that it sounds way too empty for about 2 minutes. |

I love your style and composition, but I feel some parts of the songs (particularly White Reprise) are lacking in extra added elements. It's a fantastic tune, but it's a tad repetitive. Great job though. |

I think I've been inspired to try my hand at music production. Give me some pointers, sch as programs/tips/cardinal rules/etc?

Some tips would be to not leave empty spots in your music like I did in White Reprise. Unless you're trying to achieve some kind of effect, it'll make the song sound boring. Always try to keep a song in key, since off-key notes sound weird. A lot of what I can say is basic musical knowledge. |

I'm usually not one to comment on music because it's a bit out of my element but here we go. I have listened to all of your tracks and have a small piece of advice for you which I hope you can work into all of your music. In the songs "Standing In The Rain" and "Beauty Of A Mystery" you really put forth a slightly darker set of emotions without it being too obvious such as mystery and sadness. I think it would be in your favor to focus on those types of emotions more in your future pieces (with the piano of course) because it really connects with your audience and is an original approach which hasn't been explored much. Also, try more variations to break up the repetition with small piano transitions from note to note. Little details like that tend to seperate good music from great music and I hope that your stylings in the future will lean towards the latter. Good luck! |
