tree looks nice, but for tiles you should try to make the tree outline the same size as the other side(symmetrical) because when making forests, ur gunna have to make a LOT of tree tiles to make it fit them all. (if that even made sense). same with the tree trunk. But the shading looks cool

Yeah, you're pretty wrong on that one. It wouldn't require much extra tiles at all, especially for a smaller tree like his. There's also the option of using tile layers which would just require the original tree tile itself with a transparent background. ;)

There are many with more skill than me on the net :p Thanks though.

I haven't done much for my project.. School is back so I haven't had much time.
So I did a generic slime today as my first enemy. Also I tried to give it a secondary lighting.

I'll darken the eyes a bit to make it more visible. But that's as far as I'll go. I'd rather not have a mouth on it.

Mouth isn't really needed you're right. But eyes with some detail is needed imo. Rather than just two green squares. The blob itself is good though.

I'll probably switch it with some detail eyes later. I didn't want the eyes to take away from the blob itself if that makes sense.
