Yes the rules do have to be followed. Listening to everyone else I guess there's not that much different between a private and public school (here in England anyway) except the obvious of getting a better education and facilities, I guess it varies though from school to school of how good it actually is.

Care to enlighten us, Courier? I'm actually interested in how the education system functions in Egypt. :0

Dodea schools ftw. Food sucks but structure of school is fantastic, teachers are awesome, friends are chill. I don't think there is any bullying in my school, (haven't seen any so far o

There's a big wealth gap. People who are upper middle class and upper class go to private schools, where there are teachers from Europe and the US and Egyptian Arabic, Religion and Civics teachers who're relatively good at teaching. To be honest I don't know much about public schools, but the private school students get the same books in religion, civics and Arabic as the public school ones and they both do mid term and end term exams, except for a few schools who don't. Nevertheless the rich are dumb and the poor are getting taught by idiots. |

It's very unstable in some parts, but it's not very bad. There are many Syrian refugees these days and kidnappings and prostitution are more frequent. The Islamists took over, but more and more are turning on them. There's always traffic jam and I go to school in 5 mins in the morning and return in 45 minutes due to traffic. I got a pretty bad internet connection compared to that of the US (Mattkan's grandfather's is faster than mine). Everything's full of corruption. Only in the affluent neighbourhoods it's semi-normal to be in a relationship, although premarital intercourse is HIGHLY taboo and public displaying of affection, too. The Egyptians are very patriotic and conservative. Drugs are a huge problem among the youth. The beach resorts are beautiful. I can't think of anything more at this point, but I'd love to inform you concerning my country if you have any more questions. :0 Sorry for going off topic, but I was happy to see someone interested. |
