I'd like to start by saying that I don't tower, or pk, at all, so I'm completely indifferent to the tower itself being removed. However, it was a great spot for bee farming, and I liked the exploding barrels (simply because it was a mechanic not used anywhere else in the game). But mostly I'm disappointed it's gone because that's yet another chunk of the map cut away, and given the extremely large current playerbase, the map doesn't need to be getting any smaller (yes, I know one of the biggest towns in the game opened recently, that's unrelated).

He's still there. And he still has the same irrelevant dialogue since he was added.

Doesn't matter how many players there are, they will always crowd into popular areas. One small area being doesn't mean players are suddenly going to be overcrowding other areas.  

Is it ever coming back

Isn't like everyone goes to york tower and puts their ads for their code shop
