No, because almost every tree in Graal is green, hasn't changed red or yellow, but still drops those leafs. Not only that, but they're still covered in leafs. 0-0

Most logical explanation:

The trees have caught a disease which made the leafs grow instantly but make the oldest ones fall off. As the leafs lay on the ground for a while they lose their colour since they don't receive water from the tree anymore.
