This is what everyone who is opposed to the new update pretty much saying

Oh, it's that issue. Ha. I always found it hilarious that people needed your location, or your MS, to prove that you were lagging, rather than simply knowing someone lagged based on them obviously lagging on your screen. So sparrers like this update so they have an excuse when they lose, or to 'prove' someone lags? That's funny. Thanks for explaining the sparrer thing to me.

It feels like a HUGE violation of my privacy To have a flag automatically chosen for me.
Myself and other use flags of our choice to represent our race. I have no desire to be lumped in with a bunch of other people who have no relation to me.

If we can't at least have what shouldn't have been removed in the first place, then we should have the opinion for no flag at all.

There is only one race, that is the human race. Moreover, I'm sure what you meant was nationality or ethnicity. In either case, it is definitely made up of a "bunch of other people who have no relation to you". In addition, I don't know why representing your nationality is so important, as someone once said...

Yeah Pigparty just asked why a lot of sparrers like this change. From what I've heard so far, this seems to be the sentiment.

All I know is that if you feel like your privacy is invaded by this update then you'd be upset to know that staff can read through your PMs and anyone with a memory editor can get your personal Facebook URL

Plus the rc has had a feature to show countries of everyone online for like 2 or more years now. (also what devices used).
Not sure if normal staff can do this but ips can be checked by higher staff either way

So everyone that is in a "delaycountry" shouldn't spar anymore? If they do they just get attacked by people who don't lag? Kinda seems like the sparring comminity is pushing these people away instead of figuring a way to let them enjoy it as you do. Then again I don't spar much so I wouldn't fully understand the point in this flag **** cuz it only really appeals to y'all.

+rep for human race thing, I always think that when others segregate themselves by race. This issue has nothing to do with race, though. Nationalism is a pride in your country, a similar example is your pride in your favorite sports team.

Just P.S. I am American and live in America so this has no personal issue to me whatsoever.

It's not foreign delay in itself that makes people angry (at least for more sensible people). Delay like this can't be helped, because they're far from the server. There isn't anything these people can do to change their scenario so I have no qualms with it.

It's intentionally lagging yourself to give the average person a harder time against you that a lot of people hate.

Staff actually have access to your IP (all staff did on iZone, but then they removed that for some reason, I assume it was a global change, rather than server change, so you're probably right that only high staff can see that now), they also have access to your email, and yes, the device you're using, whether it's jailbroken, and more. As I said before, when you download an app, you agree to give it special permissions which are unavoidable unless you choose not to download it.

Can't I toggle my lag no matter where I am? Revealing my flag wouldn't do anything to that situation, wouldn't it? That's a serious question, I'm not high-tech at all so I really don't know.

A VPN makes someone lag by running them through another location instead of their own. So to the game, it would look like you're playing from, say, Singapore, rather than where you are, if you select that place to VPN from. Since the game thinks you're connecting from Singapore, the flag will change accordingly.

Well it sorta is helpful in a way but maybe staff should only be allowed to see this option? I don't see what players have anything to do in this situation other than report for questionable lag/delay.These people who do use it only to lag and win shouldn't be attack by sparrers either.
