It doesn't matter though, just don't break the rules and you won't be banned. Like I said Sarah was most likely banned for no reason.

"Game disruption," I already said I know why people report her. They spam report that she is lagging, whether she is or not, and eventually it will get her a ban due to the amount of people who collude together to do it. Yes, we all know Sarah delays, as do 100 other people. It makes no sense to me though how she can be banned so inconsistently for it or why staff can't take 5 seconds out of their day to ask her to not spar if she ever is lagging too much.

It's a small group of people who dislike her who constantly spam the reports and encourage other people to, as I've already shown:


They spam the reports because they know that's how you get staff attention. I spar on Android as a noob account and that same player PMed me asking me if I could please report Sarah for "forced lag." Some inexperienced GP probably warps in using stealth, sees Sarah delaying (as anyone in Egypt does), and bans her.

Here's the most ridiculous part though, when Sarah actually did VPN last season (to France, so that she could get her points to add up properly), she lagged less. So not only does she not "force lag" right now, she literally lags less if she were to VPN but she can't do it because she'll get reported. ???

This isn't true, I got on, queued, got in the spar arena, 4s after that my screen went black I relogged then 1 sec later it went black again and I got banned for game disruption. You can't know if I was lagging or not just by watching me 4s so I'm sure they just based on the reports. I get called called a hacker, vpner, fake lagger, using an iOS emulator and many others things obviously those aren't true and people will just report me. You've no idea what I did so I don't lag that much on vacation.


You will say "Just don't play on vacation"?
I won't be able to play anymore when I go back to France since I'm doing Master and I'm so close to get 100k so I just decided to get it done quickly but it seems that I'm facing problems each time I try to do it and the reason why I don't spar that much (I used to mostly get 300-400 wins /day) is because of this lag I just log off each time I lag and when I don't lag I get banned.

I'm not asking to get unbanned but GPs aren't doing their job and pretending to do so.

There are times when Sarah is lagging too much though, and when that happens she recognizes it or one of us on tag tell her. The notion that she ever "forces" it is incredibly stupid.

I just think it's petty that GPs can't send her a message about it, or we can't have an actual lag cap that will inform players of when they're lagging "too much." All of these inconsistencies leave there a ton of room for GPs to hand out stupid bans. And again, this is a player popularity issue, not a lag issue.
If Sarah was some ****ty side-rooming VPNer like Paz, she would never get banned. However, she's ~13:1 for the past 2 years sparring basically every day, everyone knows her and many dislike her, so she'll always be subject to this until staff fix the blurred lines.

i'm no gp, but could guess that it could be their rules. so there's no 'fonding' between staff and players. <all my assumption though.  

One GP may perceive 200ms as "too much" lag, another GP may see 500ms as too much
One GP may not be smart enough to differentiate connection issues and warping from delay (something that every foreign player experiences), etc.

All of this enables GPs to hand out "my best guess" bans, and that's awful. There needs to be some hard limit, or a cap, or some concrete instruction on when it is or isn't correct to ban someone for lagging.

Until then, bans like this are going to be extremely inconsistent and applied unfairly to the better sparrers. We actually have dedicated groups who organize against players to spam report them and increase the chance that they're banned now? 100% ******ed...

Yet as we speak, we have this dude VPNing in side rooms to significantly increase his ping against new players who have no idea how to spar against it:


My report doesn't count though, because this dude is irrelevant and no one cares about him. Can I get a group of 20 people with me to report him so something can maybe get done?

Then, staff can determine that they've been adequately warned by the system and know it's fair and right to ban them if it continues.

I bet 90% of the people who are banned for allegedly lagging too much would never be banned if they knew it was too much, simply because "too much" is very hard for your average GP to adequately determine and it's an inconsistent opinion across multiple GPs... It's very hard to follow a rule when you aren't even sure when you're breaking it.

Apply to be a GP. I'm sure they're hiring and would gladly take you. I'm surprised you're not staff already.

1. The server is at fault, so if the reason for a ban is "excessive lagging", then a warning should have been given.

2. A lag cap can never be implemented due to an unstable server, so the only thing that can happen is to give players warnings. Then again, you will have many players that will start complaining about getting warned.

Idk why people are complaining. You guys just need to learn how to beat her. She shouldn't be banned for excessive lagging, if she was not given a warning. Then again, staff usually ban people immediately without warnings, after that player has been warned several times in the past for the same reason.

Yes, when someone is lagging, doesn't matter how much lag, the game doesn't drop in fps or anything, so you can't know, unless you check your ms, or when the player count is low, and you see people warping.

Right now checking your ping won't do much, because the player is too high to let someone know if it's them or the server.

I remember when I used to watch for hackers in spar, I used to disconnect players to see if they were hacking. Later those same players would find that I was the only GP online. They would message me that their excuse then was that they were poor and their family couldnt afford good internet. My decision to disconnect them and ban were not easy to make. Btw, just giving an example of a few situations I had as a GP.
